Same Time, Different Places

For my fourth Senior Year Art project, I decided to do an Ice Age themed picture, due to the fact it was winter at the time I was working. I had the paper divided by a border, which shows a summer image somewhere in California on the left and a winter image somewhere in Canada on the right. On the left, two female columbian mammoths (based on primeval) protect their calf from a pride of four smilodons, or saber tooth cats (based on Walking with Beasts and Prehistoric Park), a male mammoth in musth drops his grass to come and help, two camelops observe the battle, a teratornis soars above looking for anything dead to eat, and a bison herd stampedes into the ice covered landscape on the right. On the right, the bison herd calms down observing a band of humans(Walking with Beasts)scouting the landscape, who notice an arctodus, or short-faced bear (Monsters we Met), two mastodons search for food in the distance, a hare tries to elude detection from a pack of wolves feeding on a dead caribou, completely oblivious to the paleo-indians (Walking with Beasts and Monsters we Met) attacking the woolly mammoth herd, three females and a calf, who are assisted by a bull male in musth.
